The Road Goes On Forever, and Other Ghost Mice Lyrics as Post Titles

So, for a brief moment something possessed me to move to Oklahoma City. And by something I mean a girl who had big hopes and dreams and plans for adventures, but then once I got there those all turned into wanting to have children and go on said adventures maybe after we retire. Upon learning this atrocious news, I moved back here to Seattle, where the human spirit, while greatly diminished, is still possibly alive. I can't be all that pissed about the situation, to each their own, especially when it comes to life goals and whatnot, but I am bummed out that it cost me a bunch of money and was falsely advertised. But hey, we all make mistakes, and mine hastily made decisions sometimes pan out as such, so whatever, water under the bridge. The nearly $1000 bridge.
Okay, bitterness aside, I'm really excited to be back in Seattle. I left thinking that I was tired of the city and that I would never ever want to return, and return feeling nearly the opposite. It's not the city though, that is for sure, it still sucks and smells bad, but I was ridiculous to think I could be away from my friends (including friend-like family members). To those of you who have stuck by my ass even in the wake of some horrible decisions, all the love in the world. When I actually have some fucking money I'm taking you all out to Shorty's for endless amounts of PBR (which I have loved before it was trendy as fuck, so fuck off). And for the underage... I'll just have to buy a 30 pack, especially before you leave me in the dust for Bellingham, college, (dorm orgies) and a comfortable future. That's not supposed to sound like a bad thing either, I left everyone in the dust for tornadoes and a handful of good times.
OTHER NEWS! I have no idea what the fuck is going on with my bands. My brother, Ethan, and I have been playing some cool shit together, but our equipment situation is depressing as all hell, and neither of my actual band mates from The Walk Home have specifically said they want to play as that band, I think we may be leaning towards setting up a final show... for reals this time. Shakes is currently juggling a semi-hilarious drummer situation, that may or may not end up with me filling B-Rog's shoes. Regardless I'm going to weasel my way on to the Shakes 2-month tour that they have semi-planned as a roadie. Because FUCK not touring again before my next semi-permanent living situation comes up.
Well this has been long and mostly pointless, however, I'm going to update my little blogroll thingy pretty soon here, and then you will have links to what I have found to be the best sources for new music on the internets. So be excited.

Been a LOOOOONG Time

Whoa! I never updated this on tour, or after tour... weird!
The tour stories will have to live on as oral tradition, as I have no desire to type out the entire journey, at least not yet. I did keep a tour journal, maybe I'll type that out and post it up here sometime.
Anyways, shit is back in swing. I work at a movie theater in downtown Seattle. I can't really sneak people in but if you go with me you can get in free, so, we should see a movie sometime.
The Walk Home is in yet another no practice limbo, not sure if we'll make it out of this one, but the tapes did really well on tour, as well as us in general, really well accepted. Me and Eric want to start a less poppy band sometime soon too and rage around this country once more.
If you want a tape e-mail me, once I figure out shipping I'll get back to you. It'll most likely be less than 5 bucks.

The Walk Home Tapes are Done Done Done!!!!

Yay!
So The Walk Home has 200 tapes now. They look rad. I'm going to scan the art and put together digital copies sometime tomorrow (as well as making some punk-as-hell patches) and that'll be up and running soonly.
Shakes is also making tapes, maybe they are almost done? Not really sure on that. But I will be releasing the digital copies of those too. Radness level maximum.
You know when shit almost starts to suck, but then stops sucking almost right afterwords? Yeah, life can be pretty sweet sometimes.
Keep checking the Bands section! Free stuff there soon!

The Anarchy Cat!

With tapes almost finished (needing art, printed out label things and j-cards, and duplication), and tour coming up for The Walk Home, I thought it was only appropriate to get a cat. Well, a kitten. Sort of not great timing except that while I'm gone I know she'll be in the best hands possible. Anyways, here's some pictures of Ms. Chiff the Anarchy Cat

IT IS FUCKING DONE

Today I finally made the master tape to do the upcoming The Walk Home release, which is obviously being released as a tape, with a little thingy on the tape that tells you where you can download it for digital copies and/or burning cds and stuff like that. I cannot possibly express how FUCKING EXCITED I am about this. The days leading up to this were filled with much turmoil and talks of tours and things falling apart, BUT NOW EVERYTHING IS GOING TO BE AWESOME. I cannot explain this rational. BUT IT WILL.
A brief history of this tape:
Step 1 - Spend hours recording the tracks to it
Step 2 - Spend hours eqing said tracks
Step 3 - Spend even more hours messing with levels an EQ of entire tracks.
Step 4 - Make the first tape, it sucks, too much bass
Step 5 - Fix bass problem. Attempt to put together another tape.
Step 6 - Mysteriously lose the last 5 or so seconds of one of the songs as it goes to the tape. Tape is ruined.
Step 7 - Make the final tape the RULES
*Step 8 - Get art and make inserts
*Step 9 - Make 299 copies of the master tape
*Step 10 - ???
*Step 11 - PROFIT
* - Denotes this step hasn't actually happened yet...

If you don't get the joke I'm not actually excited about the profit part, its a South Park thing, rather, I'm excited that the kids of the world will now have a better chance hearing The Walk Home. Damn yes.

Tapes Are On the Way!

Sweeeeeeeeet.
We bought 300 tapes. Now we just gotta wait for them to get here. Oh, and run my tape duper 60 times. Then packaging. Then doneness! Finally.
Billy's Idol is back in the works and denying all prior material. To hear what's up there, go to http://www.myspace.com/billysidol. Tape plans also sort of in the works there, though there is only about 3 minutes worth of material.
Oh, and, its fucking hot!

Messed With Blog, Looked At Prices

So far today I have added a chat thingy and a hit counter to this blog so I can see how many people actually come here. I fear the worst. But after tour hopefully a bunch of people will come here to download some digital copies of stuff, so I'm no hurry to get larger bills from my webhost.
I also looked at the prices for tapes. Looks like we should get by at about $45 per person (3 people) for our band to get 200 tapes + cases + labels. We might even do the cases ourselves which would save us about 5 bucks apiece. I'm stoked that it is less than $50, because we still have to deal with cover art and printing 200 copies of it, which I'm sure kinkos will charge us a butt load for. Ah well, should be rad anyway.
We need to get some shirts made, apparently those sell well and we'll definitely need the money on tour, so, that's the next step.
At this point the recordings probably need a couple more hours worth of tweaking and then a little mastering time as well, so that's nearly finished.
Good stuff is good.
